Detox Water

I've been looking into ways to make a habit of eating and living healthier lately. A friend who had cancer several years ago, told me about some things that she learned about boosting your immune system. So after looking into much of what she shared with me, one of the things I've found that I really like is Jillian Michaels' Detox Water.

Consisting of water, cranberry juice, a special tea, and lemon juice, the drink works as a natural diuretic that helps remove toxins from your system. You can google the recipe to find more information on it. And to be completely honest, it's a tad bitter and it took me some time to get used to drinking it. But now, I love it - which says a lot since I'm not a "tea" person.


60 oz of distilled water (or spring water)
1 Tbsp cranberry juice (only PURE cranberry juice not the juice cocktail!)
1 organic dandelion root teabag
2 Tbsp lemon juice

1. Brew the tea as listed on the box and let it cool to room temperature
2. Mix all ingredients together and add the tea (once cooled)
3. Drink the entire mixture each day for up to 7 days (you will make a new batch each day)
