The Neckline cheat sheet

This little gem was linked from an email that I received from one of my fav stores, Charming Charlie!

It's a "guide to necklines that favor earrings", and I must say I find it very handy.

If I could meet anyone...

The Spring 2013 semester has began, and it's time to start submitting assignments.  One class requires us to make regular blog posts (this does not count).  My first post was to introduce myself and tell my classmates who I would meet if I could meet anyone.  My answer was Abraham Lincoln.
Abraham Lincoln successfully led the US through it's greatest constitutional, military, and moral crisis (The Civil War).  Lincoln came from a poor family, and he grew up in a one-room log cabin with a dirt floor and no glass windows.  He is said to have been mostly self-educated, and is considered to be one of the three greatest U.S. presidents (next to George Washington and Franklin D. Roosevelt).
Lincoln's election as president caused seven states to secede from the Union.  After helping push the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, all slaves were finally freed nationwide in December 1865.  His Gettysburg Address of 1863 became the most quoted speech in American history. After all of his efforts to improve our nation, avoid war, and even the surrender of the Confederate commanding general Robert E. Lee, President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.  He was the first U.S. president to be assassinated, and it sent the nation into mourning.
Lincoln authored several other speeches, which have turned into popular quotes over the years.  Some of which can be found here.
I'm already fascinated with history - if I had the opportunity to meet Abraham Lincoln, I would just want to snuggle up with a blanket and listen to him tell me stories of his life, his decisions, and even his failures.

Blog goals

In the midst of life and everything else, I forget up blog. No, wait! Do I forget, or do I put it off? Do I let it slip past me, or do I set yet another personal goal to start blogging, then quickly give it up?

It's hard to say...but all answers sound right!

I set personal goals, some of which I achieve and others I don't. I forget. I get scared. I give up. I fail. Why??? I have been inspired by a story that I recently learned from a friend (I'll share that much later). For now, all I'll say is that I'm setting a new personal goal and I'm going to stick to it! I'm going to blog at least once a week - TWICE if I'm feeling motivated! I'm going to prepare my posts. I'm going to blog about things that make sense. Lol. And, I'm going to stick to it!
